Welcome to the first instalment in a multi-part series of posts that will help to take you through the many steps to creating a fully functional, realistic religion for your world. Not all of these instalments will be necessary for everybody and many may simply dip in and out for a bit of inspiration or guidance. This is not meant to be the perfect guide to creating fantasy religions, but I hope that it will provide some in-depth ideas and advice to those interested in doing so. It has been a while since I sat and wrote any form of narrative and I feel that I have gotten out of practise writing stories. These began as ’10 minute writing prompts’ but I quickly found that I needed longer to achieve my desired outcomes. I intend to share these pieces with you all as I progress and shall endeavour to share one piece every week. What follows is the first of these Fantasy Shorts: Corncakes
